To P[?],

a book “you’ll lap up”

from Kate. Dec 25th 1973

I thought I would leave the above dedication on. It gives it the correct sense of passing good things on.

I got my copy of this book when I was about eleven years old (1961?). It has given me a lot of joy. I hope this passes on to you.

All my love and happy birthday 2007

Love

Dad
